For bookkeepers
A clear handoff starts with a checked statement.
Turn client statement PDFs into reviewed transaction rows, keep the source close while resolving questions, and hand over an approved file for your bookkeeping workflow.
Client intake
Keep the account and period clear from intake.
A folder of monthly PDFs can mix accounts, duplicate periods or omit a page without making the problem obvious. Identify each client, account and period before upload and decide who will review the draft and receive the finished file.
Fulla accepts text, scanned, mixed and password-protected PDFs. Check unclear scans and missing pages at intake so the reviewer has a reliable source. Conversion cannot recover transactions from a page that was never included.
Review the exceptions
Spend review time on questions that affect the books.
Check amount signs, decimal places, duplicate transactions and descriptions continued across page boundaries. Source-linked review lets you compare a disputed row with the PDF before correcting, splitting or merging it.
An extracted merchant description does not settle a category or tax treatment. Keep client questions separate from source-reading errors, and do not alter a bank row to force a match with an external record. Approve once the saved revision reflects the statement you reviewed.

Client handoff
Hand over a file with enough context.
Use CSV for a tabular import or XLSX for workbook-based review. Check the destination’s date and amount conventions, preview the mapping, and compare row counts after import. Fulla exports approved rows; it does not directly sync with your accounting platform.
For a larger set, paid workspace batches combine eligible approved statements into CSV, XLSX or, for a single account, OFX. Review each document first and finish before the earliest deadline: statements are deleted 24 hours after the upload starts, so plan client questions and downloads around that window.
