Free bank statement converter: what is free and what to check
Fulla converts one page per IP address per rolling 24 hours without an account, and five shared pages per rolling 24 hours in a free registered workspace, with no card required. Free conversions get the same source-linked review, 24-hour retention, and CSV, XLSX, and OFX downloads for single statements. Before trusting any free tool, check where the file goes, how long it stays, whether you can review rows against the page, and what you can download.

Step by step.
Count the pages
Each statement is processed as a whole document, so it must fit in the pages you have left in the rolling 24-hour window. A one-page statement fits the anonymous allowance; a statement of up to five pages fits a free workspace.
Try a one-page statement without an account
Upload a single-page statement PDF. Text, scanned, mixed, and password-protected PDFs are accepted.
Create a free workspace for longer statements
Sign up without a card to get five shared pages per rolling 24 hours. Everyone in the workspace draws from the same five pages.
Review the rows beside the page
Select each row to see the page and evidence box it came from. Correct, split, merge, or undo before approving the saved revision.
Download the format you need
Export the approved revision as CSV, XLSX, or OFX. Free plans include these single-statement exports.
Finish within 24 hours
The uploaded PDF and everything derived from it expire 24 hours after the upload starts. Exporting does not extend that deadline.
What Fulla’s free allowance includes
The free allowance is meant for trying the product on real statements and for occasional personal use. It uses the same extraction, review screen, and exports as the paid plans; only the page allowance differs.
- Without an account: 1 page per IP address per rolling 24 hours
- Free registered workspace: 5 shared pages per rolling 24 hours, no card required
- The same file limits as paid plans: up to 10 PDFs per upload, 50 MiB and 250 pages per file
- Source-linked review with correction, split, merge, and undo before approval
- CSV, XLSX, and OFX downloads for single approved statements
- The same 24-hour expiry for uploaded and derived financial content
What the free allowance does not cover
Statements longer than five pages do not fit the free workspace allowance. Combined exports from a workspace batch of several statements, and multi-document conversion through the API, need a paid plan. Fulla does not start a document that does not fit in the pages left in the rolling window; try again once pages free up, or move the workspace to a paid plan. Nothing is charged automatically.
Questions to ask any free converter
A bank statement holds account numbers, balances, and a record of where money goes. Whichever free tool you use, read its privacy notice and pricing page before uploading, and test it on a statement you already know well. These questions apply to every tool, including this one.
- Who runs it? Look for a named company, a contact address, and terms of service.
- Where does the file go? Check whether the service names the providers that process your pages.
- How long is the file kept? Look for a stated deletion window rather than a general promise.
- Can you check the result? A table without a link back to the page leaves you comparing by eye.
- Does it handle your statements? Try a scanned page and a password-protected PDF if you have them.
- Which formats can you download? Match them to your next step: Excel, CSV, OFX, or JSON.
- What are the limits? Look for page caps, file size limits, watermarks, or formats reserved for paid plans.
Check the output, whatever the tool
A free conversion costs nothing until a wrong row reaches your books or a tax file. Before using any converted statement, compare the first and last transactions with the PDF, check that each page’s rows are present, and confirm that opening balance plus money in minus money out equals the closing balance. Fulla’s free bank statement balance checker runs that arithmetic in your browser without an upload. A matching total is a good sign, not proof: two mistakes can cancel out.
When a paid plan pays off
A plan makes sense once statements regularly exceed five pages, when several people convert for the same workspace, or when you need batch exports or the API. All plans have identical features and unlimited seats; they differ only by page allowance. There is no trial, no rollover of unused pages, and no overage: processing stops at the cap.
To decide, multiply the pages you convert in a typical month by the time it would take to type or fix them by hand, and compare that with the plan price. The effective cost per page at full use is listed below.
- Starter: 30 dollars a month for 400 pages, 7.5 cents a page
- Professional: 60 dollars a month for 1,000 pages, 6 cents a page
- Business: 99 dollars a month for 4,000 pages, about 2.5 cents a page
- Annual: 180 dollars a year for 4,800 pages, 360 dollars for 12,000 pages, or 599 dollars for 48,000 pages
Inspect a complete output before spending an allowance
The sample pack is publicly downloadable without an account or an upload. Use it to inspect the PDF, workbook, CSV and OFX formats before starting your own conversion. It contains fictional data and deterministic approved-fixture output.
For your own PDF, the anonymous converter allowance is one page per IP address every 24 hours; a free workspace adds five pages every 24 hours. These are separate limits. Check the current pricing page before bringing a larger document or a recurring workload.

Questions about this guide
Is Fulla Ledger’s bank statement converter really free?
Yes, within the allowance: one page per IP address per rolling 24 hours without an account, and five shared pages per rolling 24 hours in a free workspace. Free conversions use the same review and export features as paid plans.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Sign-up for a free workspace does not ask for a card, and you can try a one-page statement without creating an account.
What happens if my statement has more pages than I have left?
The statement is not processed until enough pages are available in the rolling 24-hour window, or until the workspace has a paid plan with enough allowance. You are not charged automatically.
Are free conversions handled differently for privacy?
No. Uploaded and derived financial content expires 24 hours after the upload starts on every plan, and exporting does not extend that deadline.
Can I convert bank statements to CSV for free?
Yes. A single approved statement can be downloaded as CSV, XLSX, or OFX on the free allowance. Your bank may also offer its own CSV download for recent activity.
