Workflow comparison
Fulla Ledger vs. manual statement data entry
Manual entry gives you direct control over a small set of rows. Fulla creates a draft to review against the source. Compare the time for entry, corrections and checks using a representative statement.
Read the comparison
Compare the work, not a promised saving.
Use the same representative statement for both approaches. Record the time you actually spend.
- Entering rows
- Include dates, descriptions, signs and amounts.
- Checking a draft
- Include page coverage, corrections and comparison with the source.
- Completing the handoff
- Include balance checks, formatting and the receiving system's import review.
Neither method removes the need to review. Results depend on the statement and your process.
A responsibility-by-responsibility comparison.
| Requirement | Fulla Ledger | Typing statement rows by hand |
|---|---|---|
| Work involved | Pages are drafted in parallel, then reviewed row by row. | Enter rows, then verify coverage, amounts, signs and balances. |
| Transcription errors | Draft rows carry a confidence score and failed checks force review rather than silent acceptance. | Use source comparison, independent checks or double entry to identify typing errors. |
| Reconciliation | Opening, running, and closing balances are checked, plus whole-statement balance equations. | Use spreadsheet formulas and source comparison, with checks you design. |
| Audit trail | Review events and the approved revision remain with the document until its upload-based expiry; keep the output you need. | Version history and review records depend on your spreadsheet and working process. |
| Cost | A page allowance or stored page credits, with no overage charges. | Reviewer time at their loaded rate, spent again on the next statement. |

A choice that fits your work.
Fulla may fit when
- Statements arrive monthly and the volume justifies a review pass rather than retyping.
- You need an explicit reviewed revision before export, within the 24-hour content window.
- You want balance reconciliation to catch a missing or duplicated row.
The alternative may fit when
- It is a handful of rows and the source is already open on screen.
- Your existing spreadsheet and checking process meet the handoff requirements.
The review decision stays with you.
A draft result is not an approved conversion export. Check source coverage, save corrections and approve the revision you intend to use.
Statements are deleted 24 hours after the upload starts. Save the output you need before then.
Read the API contractQuestions about this choice.
Does review take as long as typing?
It depends on the statement, extraction quality and review process. Compare both approaches on a representative file. Check coverage and source context as well as flagged rows; matching totals alone do not prove every row is correct.
What happens when a row is wrong?
Correct, split, merge, or undo the row before approval. Approval fixes the exact revision used by conversion exports. GET /api/v1/statements/{id}/result returns the latest saved review revision and does not establish approval.
Is a page charged when extraction fails?
No. A failed statement releases its reservation rather than consuming allowance or credits.
